I have been a health care practitioner for the past 30 years, initially in allopathic
medicine and for the past eight years also as a board certified acupuncturist,
which I have incorporated into my practice. During those years of professional
practice I had the opportunity to witness a large number of patients suffering
from a variety of illnesses, many of which could not be effectively treated with
traditional medical therapies. I have also witnessed first hand how effective
acupuncture is for many of this illnesses since I became a practitioner.
I specialise in the treatment of painful conditions and cosmetic acupuncture,
utilizing both ear and body acupuncture, primarily utilizing Low Level Lasers and
Color Light. This is a very gentle form of stimulating acupuncture points that
utilizes no needles and is recommended for those afraid of needles.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory states that Qi, or the vital energy, is
the living force behind life, all the cosmic forces in nature, and is the root of all
things. Most practitioners of Oriental medicine believe that the human being is
created when the Qi of Heaven and the Qi of Earth come together. Many also
believe that the Qi of Heaven continues to enter the formed human body through
the pineal organ in the form of light. We are perhaps starting to recognize,
understand, and investigate the profound role light plays in regulating and
